Taylin Peete was born on July 24, 2004, and is the second oldest of five. She grew up attending Bible Based Fellowship Church with her family, where her faith was deeply influenced by her upbringing, especially by her Nana. Although she took a break from church after the passing of her mother, she returned in 2023, realizing that her journey was always guided by God’s presence. A key moment in her spiritual growth was when she made the decision to give her life to God, understanding that despite life’s hardships, He had never left her side.
Taylin is currently a pre-nursing major at the University of Missouri. While nursing was not her initial career choice, she felt called to the field to help change the negative stigma surrounding nurses. She aspires to be part of the change, bringing compassion, excellence, and a renewed sense of purpose to the profession. During her time at Winston-Salem State University, she was honored with a spot on the Dean’s List and accepted into the Honors Program, showcasing her dedication to academic excellence.
Beyond her studies, Taylin has a passion for drawing, cooking, reading, and journaling. She finds fulfillment in helping others—both in their everyday lives and in building their relationship with God. Though she was not part of any ministries, she was a member of the church choir as a child and now looks forward to getting more involved in her church community. She plans to serve by attending regularly, participating in volunteer opportunities, and helping others find their faith.
Her favorite Bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11, reminds her that God has a plan for her life, even when circumstances seem uncertain. After experiencing a traumatic event that initially pushed her away from church, Taylin came to realize that she would not have made it this far without God’s guidance.
Her vision for ministry is centered on helping the community find God and spreading the gospel in a way that creates a lasting, positive impact. To those struggling in their faith, her advice is simple: It’s never too late to give your life to God. Never too late to turn your life around. You will be forgiven.
